2020 Art Walk Cancelled
We are very disappointed to announce that the 2020 Frederick Art Walk has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We are keeping the safety of our artists, their families, and our visitors as our first priority. Please plan to join us for our 20th Art Walk in November of 2021!

Active Artist Directory
The Walk may be cancelled, but many of our artists are still busy making wonderful art, and could use your support! We are creating a directory of artists who participated in last year's FAW, and who have works available for sale. Please check out this list and contact them directly to shop. Thank you.

The Frederick Art Walk is a 4 km walking tour through one of Kitchener's oldest neighbourhoods, bounded by Victoria and Krug Steets (on the north and south), Lancaster Street and East Avenue/Indiana Street. Participants can enjoy the beauty of a fall day and the pleasure of exquisite artworks, in a setting of grand maple trees and century-old homes. The Art Walk features an amazing array of hand-crafted works for sale, including fabric art, paintings, photography, pottery, stained glass, sewing crafts, and jewellery.

Our Art Walk is held on the first or second Saturday in November every year, and each year we choose a charity to support. Working together, our homes and Art Walk patrons typically raise over $400 for a local organization. These have included Suddaby Public School's Nutrition For Learning programme, The Poppy Fund, and The KW Humane Society.

In 2019 we supported Healing of the Seven Generations (H7G), located in the heart of the Central Frederick Neighbourhood at 300 Frederick Street, with a donation of $495. The organization provides support for Canada's First Peoples by providing food, clothing, programs for youth and seniors, counselling and many forms of cultural programming. H7G supports many people from our community on very little funding. In addition, they are a vital source of information on culture, truth and reconciliation for all of us.
