The Frederick Art Walk is a 3 km walking tour through one of Kitchener's oldest neighbourhoods, bounded by Victoria and Krug Steets (on the north and south), Lancaster Street and East Avenue/Indiana Street. Participants can enjoy the beauty of a fall day and the pleasure of exquisite artworks, in a setting of grand maple trees and century-old homes. The Art Walk features an amazing array of hand-crafted works for sale, including fabric art, visual arts, pottery, stained glass, sewing crafts, and jewelry.

The Art Walk is held in the Fall, and each year we choose a charity to support. Working together, our homes and Art Walk patrons typically raise over $400 for a local organization. These have included Suddaby Public School's Nutrition For Learning programme, The Poppy Fund, and The KW Humane Society.

In 2019 we supported Healing of the Seven Generations (H7G), located in the heart of the Central Frederick Neighbourhood at 300 Frederick Street, with a donation of $495. The organization offers support for Canada's First Peoples by providing food, clothing, programs for youth and seniors, counselling and many forms of cultural programming. H7G supports many people from our community on very little funding. In addition, they are a vital source of information on culture, truth and reconciliation for all of us.
In 2021 we were pleased to again support H7G. UPDATE November 16/21: Thanks to everyone's efforts and generosity, we raised over $1000 for H7G in 2021!
